The corporate site is now
invisibletech.ai
, and both
invisible.co
and
inv.tech
redirect there. More importantly for anyone looking for work, the contractor side has been given its own brand, its own domain and its own job board: Meridial.

The old vocabulary has gone with it. “Invisible Partner”, the term that ran through every older write-up of this company, appears in none of the 831 contractor postings we pulled, and on no page of either site. The current words are “expert”, “specialist”, “AI trainer” and “independent contractor”, alongside the explicit line that “contributors are not employees of Meridial”. Whether the old partner model survives in any form is not something the company says either way.

One leftover: the login portal the Meridial site sends you to still lives on the legacy
marketplace.inv.tech
domain. It was deployed as recently as September 15, 2026, so it is being actively maintained. It is just wearing the previous company’s address.

What is Meridial?

In its own words, “an expert contractor marketplace powered by Invisible Technologies”. Its footer still carries the Invisible copyright line. Invisible’s own funding announcement describes Meridial as one of five platform modules, “an expert network engine delivering high-quality human expertise, RLHF, training, and validation”, alongside components called Neuron, Atomic, Synapse and Axon.

The entry requirements are modest and clearly stated. English proficiency is a hard gate: “we require English proficiency as you sign up for Meridial”, even for work in other languages. Hardware minimum is a laptop or desktop with 8GB of RAM and a connection of at least 10 Mbps, and “a camera is needed for identity confirmation only, not during engagements”. It claims 120 or more countries and 110 or more languages, though it never publishes the list, and it says openly that access “does not guarantee project engagements”.

What is the work?

Standard frontier-lab data work, described more precisely than most competitors manage. From the Meridial FAQ: experts “provide critical feedback through traditional Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) and Supervised Fine-tuning (SFT) processes like writing and answering prompts, evaluations, ranking responses, improving chain of thought reasoning, and red-teaming”. It adds a newer category on top: building reinforcement learning environments, covering “environment design, trajectory validation, judge model calibration, reward signal design, and edge case identification”. If those terms are unfamiliar, our RLHF jobs explainer unpacks them.

Engagements are scoped through a statement of work, and the vendor says “you see what’s involved, what it pays, and length of the project before you commit”. Its own newsroom lists its press contact on
@invisibletech.ai
, a domain its own warning would have you distrust. That page is also excluded from search engines by its robots file, alongside the pay-tiers page and the AI interview guidelines.

2. A prospective worker sees an empty marketplace that is not empty.

3. The modern slavery statement describes a smaller company than the job board does. The board-approved statement asserts that “Invisible Technologies only has offices located within the U.S.” and that it does not contract in regions where modern slavery risk is high, while its live corporate postings advertise London and Warsaw offices and its contractor board runs roles in Ghana, Kenya, Egypt and Pakistan, some at $5 an hour. We are not alleging anything. The two documents simply describe different companies, and both are published by the same one.

Is Invisible Technologies worth applying to?

The honest read. This is a substantial, funded company with a genuinely large open catalogue and unusually clear language about what the work involves. The application is light, there is no assessment gauntlet described anywhere, and the language and dialect coverage is the best in this category by a distance, which makes it one of the better options if English is not your first language. Against that: the published rate is usually a band so wide it tells you almost nothing, the eligibility list does not exist, no payment processor is named, and the intake has slowed sharply since last year. Worth an application because the application is cheap. Not worth clearing your diary for.

For alternatives in the same category, Outlier alternatives is the widest comparison we keep, and the hiring-now list is refreshed weekly.

Browse 1,662 live AI listings, free, no signup

Screened, human-approved, filled ones deleted daily. Invisible Technologies Inc. was founded in 2015, is headquartered in San Francisco, and announced a $100 million growth round led by Vanara Capital in September 2025, bringing total capital raised to $144 million by its own account. It joined the World Economic Forum in January 2026 and agreed to acquire the assessment company WeCP in March 2026.

Where do I sign up to work for Invisible Technologies?

At meridial.ai, not invisible.co. Meridial is the contractor-facing brand, described by the company as an expert contractor marketplace powered by Invisible Technologies. The login portal it sends you to still sits on the older marketplace.inv.tech domain.

What happened to the Invisible Partner programme?

The term no longer appears anywhere in the company’s public material. Contractors are now called experts, specialists, AI trainers or independent contractors, and Meridial states that contributors are not its employees. Whether the older model survives in some form is not addressed by the vendor.

How much does Meridial pay?

As listed: 813 of 831 live postings quote a rate, but 555 of them use one of two boilerplate bands, $6 to $65 or $8 to $65 an hour, with a note that final offers may differ. The published floor is $5 an hour on five postings for the Philippines, Ghana, South Africa, Jamaica and Kenya. The published ceiling is $80 to $150 an hour on two postings.

When does Meridial pay, and through what?

The FAQ says earnings are processed every two weeks and that payments are issued directly with no platform cut. No payment processor is named anywhere on the site or in any posting, and no payout threshold is published.

Which countries can work on Meridial?

The vendor claims 120 or more countries but never publishes the list. It refers to geographic eligibility as a factor in matching without enumerating it. English proficiency is required at signup regardless of the language you would be working in.

Does Meridial have an assessment or qualification task?

Nothing of the sort is described in its worker-facing material. The stated flow is to create a profile, complete a brief confirmation step, browse opportunities and sign a statement of work. Its March 2026 acquisition of WeCP was justified as adding 18,000 assessment frameworks to the platform, so that may change.

Why does Meridial’s projects page show no projects?

Its public page queries a single department that contains one job, while the underlying board carries 831 postings across fifteen departments.
