This policy explains how Mufaddal S Pachorawala, sole proprietor, trading as getAIwork ("getAIwork", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use getaiwork.com and the getAIwork membership (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, password, and profile details you provide when you register.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Gumroad). We receive transaction details (plan, amount, status) but never store your full card number.
- Learning & usage data: lessons completed, projects submitted, certification progress, pages visited, and features used.
- Communications: emails you send us and preferences you set (e.g., newsletter subscription).
- Device & analytics data: IP address, browser type, and interaction data collected via cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service: courses, certification, the Work Board, and community.
- To process payments, manage trials and subscriptions, and send transactional emails (receipts, renewal reminders).
- To send marketing emails you've opted into — you can unsubscribe with one click at any time.
- To measure and improve the Service, including advertising performance.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
We process personal data on the basis of: contract performance (providing the membership you signed up for), consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), and legitimate interests (service improvement, security, fraud prevention).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run getAIwork:
- Gumroad — checkout, payment processing, and subscription billing
- Google (Analytics, Ads) — site analytics and advertising measurement
- Hostinger — website hosting, data storage, and delivery of our emails (our email system runs on our own hosting, not a third-party newsletter service)
Each provider processes data under its own contractual safeguards, and we may also disclose information where required by law.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies (login, session), analytics cookies, and advertising cookies (Google Ads conversion tracking). Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, or dispute purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents also have the right to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any right, email support@getaiwork.com with the subject "Privacy request". We respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) and the other providers listed above operate data centers in various countries, so your data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Age requirement
The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or a notice on the site, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
